Description
Taif is a Saudi city located in the west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following the Makkah region on both sides of Wadi and C. It is about 75 km away from the holy city of Makkah and is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It rises from 1700 m to 2500 m above sea level. Which gives it a nice atmosphere. Al-Ta’if means in the language of Al-Aas or Al-Aas who guards the houses at night. Yaqut al-Hamawi and al-Qalqashandi mentioned that the old name for Taif is Waj.
