Baladi ghee is famous in Jordan and abroad due to its delicious taste that it adds to many foods and sweets, such as the famous Nablus kunafeh in Nablus - Palestine, Basbousa, Harisa, Sweet Ish al-Bulbul, Awamah. To taste it when visiting Jordan, and it is also added to the Rashouf, which is a famous Jordanian popular dish.
Baladi ghee is made of saturated fat, which is made from sheep or cow's milk, curd, water and many spices as desired, such as turmeric to give the ghee the yellow color, fenugreek, and hazelnut.
Ghee is made by gently heating cow or sheep butter on a heat source until its water content has evaporated, and then filtering the milk solids so that only liquid fats remain.
