Description
TIRAZ is the new home of the Widad Kamel Kawar dress collection, the most complete of Palestinian, Jordanian and other Arab costumes from the 19th and 20th centuries, with over 3000 costumes and weavings.
TIRAZ is a non profit organization which aims to preserve the Widad Kawar collection, and promote the vibrant Palestinian and Jordanian cultural heritage and Arab living traditions.
We plan to open our doors to the public in 2015 to share the beauty, knowledge and heritage embedded in Widad's collection with current and future generations, and fulfill Widad's life-long mission to preserve the fast disappearing traditions of Palestine, Jordan and the Arab world.
