Old Muscat is the historical nucleus of the city of Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. The city is strategically located on the Gulf of Oman. The old city of Muscat is separated from the rest of modern Muscat by a series of coastal mountains. The museum contains a rare, valuable and diverse collection of ancient weapons, including daggers.
