In this workshop, you will learn about the bisht and its craftsmanship. The bisht is known in some Arabic dialects as a mishlah as well as an abaya; It is a men’s cloak, worn by Arabs in general for thousands of years, and according to ancient Christian and Hebrew paintings, in the days of the Prophet Jesus, it was worn by the people of Levant, especially the inhabitants of the Holy Land. The bisht is made from camel's hair and goat's wool. This material is spun and then made into a ready-made cloth. It is used in weaving the bisht. The process of sewing the bisht comes after the process of spinning wool and with cotton threads according to the color of the bisht.Bisht is used at weddings
